Microblog Poster - FAQ Troubleshooting

Duplicate Auto Posting :

Microblog Poster is auto publishing TWICE the same blog post.
Old Posts Auto Publish isn't enebaled so I should have ONLY one update on my social accounts per post.

Possible cause:

Yoast SEO Premium has a known bug of triggering twice a published post.
Try the following:
Go to Yoast SEO Dashboard -> Features Tab, and DISABLE the following two settings
-> Metabox insights
-> Link suggestions (Internal linking)

Facebook :

The posts that MicroblogPoster auto publish to facebook are ONLY visible to me.
I realise that this would probably be a setting on facebook but I can't seem to find it.

2 things might be the cause:

1. Please make sure your facebook App is LIVE:
Take a look here https://efficientscripts.com/web/microblogposter/facebook-auto-publish
where it says 'Make your App Live by browsing to 'Status & Review'.'

2. Check here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
the visibility of the App you authorized.

i can’t get it to authorise, i am trying to authorise a Facebook page for my business. when i click the link it reloads the page but does not authorise.

Please make sure your Facebook Page ID is NUMERIC. You can find it in the settings of your facebook page.

I can't authorize my Facebook page. I get the following in logs.
{"error":{"message":"An active access token must be used to query information about the current user.","type":"OAuthException","code":2500,"fbtrace_id":"DpNF0yZ8QNZ"}}

Please DEACTIVATE all plugins except MicroblogPoster and retry!

Twitter :

Whoa there!
There is no request token for this page. That's the special key we need from applications asking to use your Twitter account. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake.

Generally the problem is that you didn't specify the 'Callback URL'
Please see here: https://efficientscripts.com/web/microblogposter/twitter-auto-publish

Linkedin :

Getting this message when I try to Authorize for Linkedin "invalid redirect_uri. This value must match a URL registered with the API Key" Not sure what this means

You have to specify the 'OAuth 2.0 Redirect URLs', please see our help page for details.

Multisite Installation :

I can't add new accounts with MicroblogPoster. It says account added successfully but it's not added. Is your plugin compatible with Multisite Installation!?

Yes, it's compatible. Rather than doing the 'Network activation' of the plugin, leave it deactivated at the network level and activate it for each sub blog of your multi install. MicroblogPoster needs to create database tables for each sub blog in order to function correctly, and this is done correctly only if you do a per sub blog activation. Thanks
